CASTING CALL: The Gods Are Not to Blame
The African Theatre Artistes Society (ATARS) in collaboration with USC School of Dramatic Arts, is thrilled to announce open opportunities for actors, dancers, and musicians to join our Spring 2026 production of Ola Rotimi’s The Gods Are Not to Blame, directed by USC Professor Bayo Akinfemi.
This is a landmark theatrical event celebrating African culture, storytelling, and artistic excellence. The production offers a unique chance to be part of a bold, culturally significant project that blends traditional African performance aesthetics with contemporary theatrical expression. If you are passionate, disciplined, and inspired by ensemble-driven art, we want to hear from you.
Auditions: January 2026
Location: USC
Dates: Late February 2026 - Mid April
Time: 6:00 – 10:00pm; Monday – Friday
Duration: Approximately 6 weeks

Engagement
ATARS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. This engagement is primarily voluntary, however stipends will be offered to all selected performers in recognition of their time, artistry, and contribution.
